About the magazine
An independent journal for parrot care and welfare
Who we are
A publication, not a shelter
Le Monde des Perroquets is an independent editorial magazine about parrot species, behavior, nutrition, habitat, and the protection of exotic birds. We publish accessible articles and practical guides for parrot owners, prospective adopters, and ornithology enthusiasts.
We are not an animal shelter, an official association, or an adoption agency, and we do not offer adoption services. Our aim is to help readers understand parrots and make more informed, responsible choices.
Our editorial standards
Accuracy, welfare, and care in every article
Welfare first
Every article is written with the wellbeing of the bird in mind. We describe natural behaviors and suitable habitats without promoting practices that could cause stress or harm.
Factual integrity
We avoid unverified scientific claims and do not invent data, testimonials, or partnerships. Where knowledge is uncertain, we say so plainly.
Medical questions belong with a veterinarian qualified in avian medicine. Our articles can help you understand what to ask and what to observe, but they never replace an examination.
